I’m Not Looking for Perfection
I don’t expect a perfect woman.
I’m certainly not a perfect man.
I believe a lasting relationship is built by two imperfect people who choose to communicate, respect each other and continue growing together.

Beauty can attract someone’s attention, but character is what makes you want to stay.
Kindness matters to me.
Honesty matters.
Loyalty, humor and emotional maturity matter.
I want a woman who can laugh at the little things, speak openly when something is wrong and understand that a relationship requires effort from both people.
There Is More to Me Than the White Coat

Being a doctor is an important part of my life, but it isn’t my entire identity.
Outside the hospital, I’m simply a man who enjoys conversation, peaceful evenings and spending time with people who matter to me.
Some days I might come home energetic and ready to go somewhere.
Other days, after a long shift, my perfect evening might simply be dinner, comfortable clothes and a quiet conversation with the woman I love.
That’s the side of a person you don’t necessarily see in a photograph.
The white coat shows my profession.
It doesn’t show my dreams.
What Marriage Means to Me
Marriage, in my mind, isn’t just a wedding ceremony, beautiful photographs or a ring.
Those moments are special, but they’re only the beginning.
Marriage is waking up beside the same person thousands of times and continuing to choose each other.
It’s supporting one another through career changes, difficult periods, celebrations and unexpected challenges.
It’s having disagreements without forgetting that you’re on the same team.
It’s making plans together.

It’s building traditions that belong only to the two of you.
Maybe it’s Sunday breakfast. Maybe it’s traveling once a year. Maybe it’s sitting together every evening and talking about absolutely nothing important.
Those small rituals are the things I imagine when I think about marriage.
I Want a Partner, Not Just a Wife

There is an important difference.
I don’t want someone simply to fit into the life I’ve already created. I want us to create a new life together.
She should have her own dreams, opinions and ambitions.
I want to encourage her when she is pursuing something important, just as I hope she would encourage me.
Sometimes I will be the strong one.
Sometimes she will.
And sometimes we’ll both have absolutely no idea what we’re doing and figure it out together.
That, to me, is partnership.
